Custom Gear Boxes

Precision Gears, Inc. is a Job-Shop manufacturer that emphasizes the manufacture of high quality, short and long run gears and gear assemblies that meet or exceed our customers' requirements.  Precision Gears' capabilities incorporate all facets of custom gear manufacturing, including machining blanks, broaching, gear hobbing, gear shaping, gear shaving, thread grinding, thread milling, custom gear boxes and assembly.  In addition, the Inspection Department at Precision Gears utilizes quality control methods to ensure uniform compliance with customers' specifications.

In the past, Precision Gears hasproduced custom gear boxes used in winch systems.  These gear boxes have been used (and can be used) in winches for a broad range of applications, including raising and lowering systems like lighting, athletic equipment and theater stage scenery, to name a few.  The expertise Precision Gears has gained manufacturing custom gear boxes can certainly be applied to other gear box applications.

Custom gear boxes and gear assemblies can be produced from customer-supplied materials, as well as materials provided by Precision Gears.  Since 1919, Precision Gears has been meeting the gear requirements of a wide range of industries: medical, agricultural, construction, oil, printing, and recreational, to name a few.  Applications include electric motors and controls, pumps, snow throwers, winches and gear boxes, hoists and jacks, outboard motors, machine tools, speed reducers, and many more.
