Worms, Worm Gears and Worm Gear Sets

Using our manufacturing and machining expertise, Precision Gears, Inc. manufactures worms, worm gears and worm gear sets. Use of the worm gear, which is similar to a standard spur gear, and the worm, which is a cylindrical gear that resembles a screw, allows for smaller gear boxes or drives, while retaining torque or power. We can produce our worm gears in diameters from ½" to 25", and worms from ½" to 8", with diametral pitch for both from 96 up to 2.5, and a module from 0.25 to 12.

We are experienced with machining processes including milling, hobbing, climb hobbing, shaping, and can use any of these to produce your worms, worm gears and worm gear sets. We happily serve the automotive, machinery, pump, and HVAC industry, among many others. Metals that we work with include ductile iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, and plastics. We can also finish and heat treat parts, and offer just-in-time delivery services when required.
